Alfred “Al” Gallegos passed away at 41 years of age on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado. Al was born on May 20, 1985, to Patrick and Connie Gallegos. He was one of four siblings along with Chantell, Charmaine, and Joshua.
He’s preceded in death by his grandfathers Alfred Gallegos and Esmo Benavidez; his uncles, Johnny, Bert, Ralph, and John Gallegos; and his nephew LJ Gallegos
He’s survived by his wife, Lucy Gallegos of 16 years; his daughters, Gabriella and Lariyah Gallegos; his grandmothers, Esther Benavidez and Angelina Gallegos; his parents, Patrick and Connie Gallegos; his siblings, Chantell, Charmaine (Craig), and Joshua (Nicole) Gallegos; his nephews, Ramon Jr (Kristianna) and Eliseo “Seo” Ferrel, Joshua Jr “JJ”, Eliahs “Eli” and Ezekio “Eze” Gallegos, and Julian Torres; and his nieces, Alana (Maliq), Hailey, and Alyssa Gallegos, Jazlynn “Jazzy” Ferrel, Aryana “Ary” Gallegos, and Iyanna Torres; his great nephew, John Patrick Gallegos; his great nieces, Selena Gallegos and Malia Grant-Washington; and many family members, military brothers and friends.
In 2007, he answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the military. His military MOS was 11Bravo and was assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, where he served five years and completed two tours of service in Iraq.
In 2023, Al began his employment with JOC Construction as a Superintendent. During his tenure at JOC, Al received the company’s award for excellence, which will now be named in his honor.
Family and friends will remember Alfred for his strength of character and as an avid fan of all the Colorado sports teams, especially the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 3 pm - 7 pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary at 8600 Hampden Ave Denver, CO 80231.
Viewing and Rosary will be on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 9:00 am - 9:30 am and 9:30 am - 10 am at St. Catherine of Siena located at 4200 N Federal Blvd Denver, CO 80211.
Funeral mass will be on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 10 am - 11:15 am at St. Catherine of Siena located at 4200 N Federal Blvd Denver, CO 80211.
Burial ceremony will be on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 1 pm - 2:30 pm at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery located at 12801 W 44th Ave Wheat Ridge, CO.
A reception will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 3 pm-7 pm at Establishment at Bradburn, 11885 Bradburn Blvd., Westminster, CO 80031.
