Amir Mehmood “Joj”

July 21, 1964-September 11, 2023

Age 59 of Quetta, Pakistan passed peacefully in his home in Aurora, CO surrounded by his family and friends.

Survived and loved by his wife LaVerne and children Lloyd (Victoria), Rabey and Sariah, his grandchildren Erik, Marissa, Azi and Malani, his brothers Ahsan (Monazzah) and Salman (Amna) Mehmood, and sister Rabia Arshad. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Arshad Mahmood and Kaniz Arshad, brother Atif Mahmood and Uncle Richard Sanchez Sr.

Joji loved camping, football, and cooking, but his first priority was family.

He was the heart of the family and loved by everyone he knew. He will be missed by all. We will forever cherish his memories.

A ritual washing for Amir will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231.

A prayer service will occur Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Colorado Muslim Society, 2071 S. Parker Rd, Denver, CO 80231.

A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231.
