Anna was one of my students when she was in school at the University of South Carolina. A good student and a good friend. My sympathy to Chris.

Anna was a very sweet and kind lady. I will always remember our conversations. She loved to share stories about her family with me. I will always count her as a friend.

Anna  was a kind and cheerful lady. Linda spoke of her often when recalling high school days. She was a comfort to me and my family in our time of need. Chris, I believe you were truly a match made in heaven. I pray she is enjoying eternal life and sharing humor and kindness.

Anna is certainly a light gone too soon. Chris and I grew up on the same street in McAllen, Texas, and we have fond memories of our time spent together as we grew up on 5th Street. 

I met Anna when she was in 7th grade. She and Chris were in Mr. Finch's Algebra class and I was the "teaching assistant". Anna was a beautiful, quiet girl and was very smart. In spite of the subject matter, this was such a fun class.

We lost touch as adults but, true to Anna's form, she found me and reconnected. Chris and Anna added my home as a stop during some of their trips to the Valley from Colorado. Anna was always so interesting to talk to as well as incredibly kind. We also communicated regularly with text messages and messenger. I will miss those random texts about various subjects or pictures that she sent to me.

That Anna loved and valued Chris was very apparent. She valued her family and friends very highly and made a point to keep in touch. She was certainly a nurturer and reaching out to people was a skill that she had finely honed. Anna also loved animals, especially Max!

Anna will be missed greatly! Prayers continue for peace and comfort for Chris and all who loved her.

Chris, we are so sorry for your loss. We regret that we never got to meet Anna. We can tell from the beautiful tributes what an amazing, lovely person she was and how she touched so many people. She clearly was deeply loved. We wish you comfort in the days ahead, and that your memories bring you peace.

I was blessed to know Anna. She was a sweet friend and my birthday twin. I was fortunate to graduate with Anna and Chris!  I will always remember when Chris and Anna reconnected or met at our class reunion. I am so glad they pursued their relationship and married.  I am blessed to have been friends with with both Anna and Chris,  May God bless you Chris!  So glad you and Anna believe in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  Julie

How sad I was to hear of Anna’s passing.  Living in the same neighborhood, Anna and Chris would pass my home while walking Max.  Anna always had a pleasant word to share, as well as her warm smile.  Our main visits were at neighborhood functions.  Anna would always remember our discussions from previous visits and ask about updates.  May she now rest peacefully and be comforted in heaven.  

Anna was such a beautiful and sweet woman. I was very blessed to know her. Thank you Chris for allowing me to get to know your wife. I will definitely miss her and the fun times we had ❤❤❤❤ 

One afternoon at my home in Houston, there was a knock at the door, which I assumed was a solicitor. I asked who it was, and a voice answered, "Chris."  I asked, "Do I know you?" He said, "You should. I'm your cousin!"  I opened the door and saw my cousin for the first time in almost 40 years, and I met Anna, who was responsible for tracking me down. There was an immediate connection to her and she maintained contact for the next few years through her texts. I was to enjoy their company one more time in person, when my husband and I  met Chris, Anna, and their dog Max at a local outdoor bar and grill. Anna was brilliant at research, especially ancestry research, which is how she reconnected Chris and my family. The tragedy in this is that a rare brain  disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease rapidly diminished her beautiful mind.  I will be donating  to the CJD foundation in her name: cjdfoundation.org

I feel blessed to have known Anna. She had a great and caring heart and the ability to connect with people right away.  God bless all who were fortunate enough to know her and experience her wonderful personality. She was gracious and yet still spoke her mind firmly and with humor in a classy way. During this hard time I think it's important that we all will keep her goodness in our minds and hearts. All of my most sincere condolences to Chris and everyone else during this time. I worked with Chris for many years at the Glendale Post Office. Whenever there would be an after work activity or party, Chris and Anna would be there. She always joined the fun although she did not understand the post office sometimes. Thinking of you, Chris.

Anna and I were colleagues at Everest College from 2008 until it closed and then we continued to communicate.  I was a breast cancer patient in the mid 90's.  When Anna was diagnosed, our relationship moved from work colleagues to friendship with that unlikely bond.  I was very worried about her health as she had an aggressive kind of cancer.  She was incredibly inspiring as she researched doctors, treatments, nutritional therapies and always spiritual assistance.  She remained very strong through treatments and flourished on the other side vanquishing the disease.  Her smile and giggle were always present through the process even as a baldy.
Anna had a wry sense of humor and she was a wonderful judge of character.  She could quickly ascertain a person's value or not on the spectrum of desirable or undesirable and was not afraid to share her winking opinion.
She was always good for a funny story or an outrageous photo txt from Texas on her many trips.  I will miss her well wishes on holidays and her ability to stay connected to me and the many people whose lives she touched.  Anna was a joyful spirit who brought light to all she encountered.

Though Anna was a medical research librarian by profession, her life was very much about being a warrior and a gardener.
Anna fought fiercely to protect, love, and keep her family and friends close to her and close to God.  Her family and friends knew she was always there for them, as she proved countless times through her actions on their behalf.  She was a prayer warrior, always praising the Lord for her blessings, like her healing from breast cancer years ago; and trusting him in difficult times.  She knew God was the ultimate healer for all troubles in this world.  

Anna lived like a master gardener, as well.  She lovingly cultivated relationships.  She sought out and valued connections, like a gardener prizes her many flowers.
Anna was my most consistent and close friend from high school days; and it was her efforts that made it possible.  After losing touch for a few years due to relocating a few times and other life situations, she worked to find me and reconnect.  Anna made me feel important to her, as she did for everyone else she loved.  I know from our friendship that Anna believed family and friends were above all, the greatest earthly blessings that God has given us. 

Anna helped me become a better friend through her attitudes about the importance of connections, forgiveness and gratitude in all circumstances.  Her dry and sarcastic sense of humor provided us with much laughter over the years.  I will miss her until we see each other again in Heaven. 

I met Anna right before covid-19.  She and Chris (my cousin) came to Houston and she was able to find me after I lost contact with Chris years ago! Truly a gift! I met her once, but felt I knew her all my life. We talked and texted all the time- what a bright light in my life she became!  I'm flying to Colorado tomorrow to be with Chris.  My sister has been there a week- Somehow I think she knew we would need each other someday.  Beautiful angel gone way too soon

Anna and I were colleagues and long distance friends (I live in Florida). We first met at a company sponsored librarian conference in California some 15 years ago. Since then we stayed in touch and even had a chance to meet a couple of times.

Anna and I mostly emailed, sent each other holiday and birthday cards ,with phone calls here and there. We talked about a lot of things over the years, especially her family down in Texas, her dogs and of course, Chris. 

She was such a caring person and always seemed to help anybody that asked. She also was  big fan of the Dallas Coboys and the South Carolina Gamecocks.  And like a good catholic, attended Mass when she could.

This to little of a space to really let you know about how truly special she was to me and to the others that knew her. Anna's wit and charm touched a lot of people and she will missed greatly.

I only met Anna once.
What I’ll keep is how Chris talked of her, the way he treasured her and his obvious love for her with how he would talk of her.
That love he showed is admirable, she meant so much to him and she’ll live on in his love for her.
I am blessed to have met her.

I didn't know Anna well. She and I were work colleagues, but we never met. Our relationship was over the phone and through emails.  Also, our mutual friend and colleague, Glenn Hall, spoke of her often. What I knew of Anna, I liked very much. She was kind, and fun, and smart. We shared a love of libraries and family history. Her personal number is still in my cell phone. I checked that immediately after I heard the news from Glenn. It is almost as though I expected to still be able to reach her. I looked through all of her posted photos. It is obvious that she lived a life filled with love. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. 

What a special person Anna was and her smile will be missed

I met Anna when we worked together at the Aurora Public Library.  She was always happy and had a great laugh that came easy.  And always very kind and giving.  Thank you Chris, for taking care of her so well at the end, and always.  Condolences to you and your pup.  Anna was one great dog mom.  We are all blessed to have known her.

Anna and I worked together at Everest College. I always enjoyed our impromptu talks at the end of the day. No matter the topic, Anna knew it all and could find anything! She was always kind, thoughtful and a happy soul. Thank you Chris for loving and caring for her. You have been a steadfast husband.

I met Anna through Ancestry DNA.  Chris and I were a fairly significant match, and Anna handled his account.  I admired her librarian/detective skills and perserverance as we brainstormed possibilities and then explored them.  We figured out part of the story, and I have discovered more since her illness. I so sorry to hear of Anna's passing and I send my heartfelt condolences to Chris and to their families. May God bless them and give them strength. Anna was a beautiful, gentle, happy soul with a smile and spirit that conveyed this through and through. Seemed that no matter when I went to McAllen over the many years, we'd bump into each other, though she didn't live there either, and we'd reminisce. We met Anna in Library School in Columbia SC. We kept in touch over the years sharing cards and photos, phone calls and emails. We will miss the friendship we had with her - but we have happy memories of our visit with her in St. Petersburg FL, and then again when Chris came with her to the mountains of Western NC.
