Beloved Anna Liuzzi passed away on December 14, 2021 at the age of 98. She was born on March 6, 1923, the youngest child of Giovanni and Angelina Liuzzi. Anna was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings, Bartolomeo Liuzzi, John Liuzzi, Rose Ditallo, Joseph Liuzzi, and Mary Pasquariello. She is survived by 12 nephews and nieces and many other extended family members, including the DiLeo, Famularo and Picone families. As a Denver native, she often told stories about the city she knew and loved as a child and adult, amazed by all the changes she had witnessed. In recent years, Anna was a resident of Clermont Park where she made good friends and enjoyed many happy days. Anna loved the Colorado mountains, in particular, her family cabin in Nederland and her loving and caring neighbors, Brian and Sylvia.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church (4377 Utica Street, Denver) at 10:00 a.m., with viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. While it is preferred that all in attendance be vaccinated, we will follow the City of Denver mandates and require that everyone wear a mask while inside the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Christian Living Communities’ Resident Assistance Fund. Checks should be made to Christian Living Communities (or CLC), with, In Memory of Anna Liuzzi, in the memo line and sent to 9570 S Kingston Ct., Suite 300, Englewood, CO 80112.
