93, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2013, in Englewood, Colorado. Barbara married her college sweetheart on May 8, 1942. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and received a BS in Home Economics from CSU. After the war she and Eugene settled in Lakweood where she taught Science and Home Economics in the Jefferson County Public Schools for 18 years. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, and she and Eugene were avid golfers and bridge partners. She was active in the CSU and Tri Delta Alumnae, PEO and the Arvada Historical Soceity. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. McEwen. She is survived by her son Michael (Kathleen); daughter, Jana (Robert) Bowler; grandsons, Scott and Douglas; and great-granddaughters, Morgan and Mackenzie. Services will be held Nov. 25, 2013, at 10am, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A, Commital Pavillion A.
