Benjamin Joseph Wilson, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2015. Born and reared in Alabama, Ben was an Accounting & Finance graduate of Florida A&M University and a retired Sergeant of the National Guard before a long career in the U.S. Health Care Financing Administration. Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Saul T. Wilson, Dr. and Hattie Belle Greene, sisters Ruth Wilson Chisolm and Hattie Wilson Daniels, Ben is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mattie (Frye) Wilson, beloved by his children Karen Wilson Barker (Stanley) and Ben Wilson, Jr. and siblings Dr. Saul T. Wilson, Jr., Mary Wilson Whiting, Sherald G. Wilson, Sr. (Lois). Per his request, Ben was laid to rest in a private ceremony.
