Bernice passed away Feb. 23 after turning 100 on Feb. 12. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Thursday followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m., at Mother of God Catholic Church, 475 Logan St in Denver. Private burial at Ft. Logan Nat'l Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mullen Home or the Sedalia Retreat House.
She is survived by her children, Berniece Colleen Kelley, Judith Joan Padgett and Bernard John Welch; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and her sisters, Mary Alyce, Veronica, Katheleen and Janice. Her parents, John Joseph and Loretta Delia Rourke; her brothers, John and Eugene; and her sisters, Celestine and Cecelia, have preceded her in death.
