The oldest of seven children, Bette was born to Chester and Alma Edwards on June 27, 1932 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Bette enjoyed a long career as an executive secretary at Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin) in Colorado. She liked to travel internationally, read, garden, attend church, walk and spend time with her Chihuahua, Nicky. During retirement, Bette was a Census Bureau worker, making field visits.
Formerly a resident of Englewood, Colorado, Bette lived more recently at Spring Ridge Park, a memory care assisted living community in Wheat Ridge, where she died.
Bette will be remembered as a kind, caring person who took an interest in others, always asking about their well being.
Bette is survived by her sisters Dianne Cherek (LeRoy) in Wausau, Wisconsin, and Shirley in Birmingham, Alabama; her brothers Ronald Gary in Onalaska, Wisconsin, and Chet in Lincolnwood, Illinois, and nephew Scott (Christian) in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and niece Lori (Doug) in Brookfield, Wisconsin. She is predeceased by her parents, sister Yvonne and brother Duane.
