Boston was born on September 24, 2025, at Children’s Hospital in Aurora, CO. Boston was born with Trisomy 18 and was a true warrior, overcoming his condition’s odds throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and his life.
Boston was the most calm, happy, and tolerant baby through all he had to endure and brought immeasurable joy and inspiration to his family, medical staff, and anyone who heard his story. He lived the meaning of his middle name, Job, every moment he was alive. Boston was known among medical staff for his calm nature, but also for his sassy side eye and nurses, respiratory therapists, and providers were frequently telling us that people were fighting over who got to care for Boston each day during any hospital stays.
Boston loved music, watching people, playing with toys he could hold or make move, tummy time, practicing sitting, touching people’s faces, going on walks, riding in the car, cooing, being held, and chewing on his hands. Boston’s favorite person was his sister, Charlotte. His face lit up anytime he saw her or even heard her voice. He loved his primary nurses and visits from all family members. Boston could clearly feel how much all of these important people loved him and he thrived and relished in that love.
Boston is survived by his parents, Kelvin & Becca Ellis; sister, Charlotte Ellis; grandparents, Brian & Michelle Hoza and Kelvin Sr. & Unika Ellis; aunts and uncles, Janna Hoza, Lissa & TJ Schmitt, Brian & Shealyn Hoza, and Kevion & Keturah Ellis; and cousins, Laili Hoza, Sawyer Schmitt, Elias Hoza, Kyla Ellis, Titus Hoza, and Cooper Schmitt.
