Carlo Bruno

Carlo Salvadore Bruno Jr. passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2011 at the age of 67. He was cherished by his daughter Maggie Bruno LaCombe, his son-in-law Matt LaCombe, his brothers Wayne Bruno and Paul Bruno and sister-in-laws Deanna Bruno and Kay Bruno. Beloved uncle to David Bruno, Kelly Bruno Sutton, and Brady Horn. Great uncle to Dawson Bruno and Dylan Sutton. He loved his little Boston Terrier, Moby, and his grandpets: Wyatt, Annie, Smokey, Tiger and Ziggy. He was the son of the late Carlo Salvadore Bruno Sr and Alice Rita Van Haelen Bruno. While Carlo was growing up, he attended St. Louis King of France School in Metairie, LA and graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1963 in New Orleans, LA. He worked for Jefferson Parish Transportation Department as a school bus driver from 1979 to 1999. He then moved up to Colorado where he lived on and off over the next 12 years with his daughter and son-in-law. He worked for Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs from 2003 to 2007. When he finally retired, he enjoyed going to the gym, camping and socializing with family and friends. Carlo will be greatly missed. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone. Anyone who knew Carlo would say that he loved to talk and he especially loved his family. Carlo will be cremated and his ashes will be spread in Poudre Canyon. There will be a Memorial Service held in New Orleans, LA with the date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in his name to your local animal shelter.
