

Clifford Arthur Gauthier, Sr. took his last breath at home in Denver, Colorado with family in attendance on October 9, 2013. He was born on December 7, 1920 near Kendrick, Colorado to Joseph Napoleon Gauthier and Ida Giroux Gauthier and was the third of seven children. He was married to Mary Jane Emry Sullivan on October 19, 1946. He is survived by his wife Jane, brother LeRoy Gauthier, children Kathleen McBride, Clifford Gauthier Jr., and Scott Gauthier, six grandchildren, 11 great -grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Cliff was a true family man and devoted husband whose supportive nature and patience enabled his children and subsequent generations of family to grow and to excel in their life’s endeavors. His sense of humor and thoughtfulness of others was appreciated by all he met.
Cliff and brother Elmer co-founded the Gauthier Construction Company and went on to build and remodel custom homes and award winning commercial projects throughout the Denver metropolitan area. He thoroughly enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards with family and friends. Cliff was a fan forever and a champion of fair play and sport. He was a great man.
