Darjean Elaine Osburn

Darjean was born in Minot, North Dakota on October 3rd, 1938, to parents Freeman Morris Petry and Mildred M. Zook. In 1950 the family moved to Kankakee, Illinois, where she finished high school and met Lane Johnson. Lane was attending Olivet Nazarene College at the time. Later she and her parents moved to Denver, Colorado, and Lane followed soon after, eventually marrying in 1962. They had two sons, Kent and Keith. She later married Paul Milton Osburn of Castle Rock, and they celebrated 43 years together. She worked as a seamstress, in retail banking, children’s ministry at Denver First Church of the Nazarene, and later as secretary of the Connections Church of the Nazarene.

Darjean is survived by her husband, Milton, her brother Richard, 5 children of the blended family, 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Abode Hospice, and Comfort Keepers of Castle Rock, for their special care and assistance. Services for Darjean's family and friends will be held at Olinger Hampden Mortuary and Cemetery.
