David was a bright light to those around him and was known for his sense of humor. He was extremely thoughtful, especially funny, and incredibly kind. His shining spirit brought a smile to those around him.
David contributed to his community in many ways. He was so gifted and really enjoyed helping others. He often gave support to other riders in his motorcycle club, Denver Bike Life. He was never hesitant to provide gas, first aid, and help to anyone when they needed it. He was remarkably kind, with such a big heart. He was hard working and spent many years as a diesel mechanic in the trucking industry.
David was very close with his family. He loved spending time with his mother watching superhero movies. They spent many evenings together watching the show “Gotham”. David and his sister, Ashley, shared a great love for music, and their favorite band, Led Zeppelin. They would always compete in the game “Do you know who this is?”
David loved spending time outdoors with his father, and spent countless weekends at different parks and trails across Colorado. He was a long time member of Denver Bike Life. He enjoyed riding his bike so much that he almost never took his helmet off.
David leaves behind many friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his grandparents, Gary and Sandra Merical; his parents, Shelly and Shawn Merical; his sister, Ashley Rogers, and his brother-in-law, Sean Rogers. He also leaves behind his niece, Meadow Rogers, who was the light of his life.
