David G. Sims, 60, of Denver, went home to glory on February 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, David G. Sims, Jr and his wife Amanda (Roscoe) Sims of Thornton, CO; brothers, Randal and his wife Nancy Sims of Charleston, West Virginia, and Robert and his wife Sheryl Sims of Lafayette, Colorado; sister Sharon and her husband Michael Miller of Denver, Colorado; sister Diona Revels of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister Tiffany White of Fort Hood, TX and nine grandchildren. A home going celebration will be held at Woodside Baptist Church, 8500 East Alameda Avenue in Denver on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10am. Dave will be laid to rest also on Saturday at Olinger Hampden Cemetery in Denver, Colorado with military honors following his service at church. A reception will be held at Woodside Baptist after the internment..
