Denny was born on May 3, 1939 to Everett and Esther Campbell. He graduated from Fort Hays Kansas State College majoring in mathematics in 1963. He met Jerri Ann Davis and married on September 5, 1964, going on to have two children, Derrick and Denise.
He began his career with the Mountain States Telephone Company as a Communications Consultant in 1967 in Casper Wyoming and transferred to Denver in June of 1969. He finally retired in 1985 as a Second Level Programming Supervisor.
Denny was passionate about enjoying life to the fullest and could be found out camping or fishing when he was not at home. He and Jerri joined NCHA camping organization in May 1974 and were lifetime members. Denny served as President of the organization from 1992-1996 during which time the name changed to FCRV.
Anyone who knew Denny knew that he was the most loving father, grandfather and husband a family could ask for. He was a force of nature and his family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Derrick and Denise as well as his grandchildren Cory, Cory and Kenzie.
Denny was preceded in death by his wife, Jerri, his brother, Terri, and his parents Everett and Esther. He is survived by his children, Derrick and Denise, and grandchildren Cory, Cody and Kenzie.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Denver Hospice for taking care of dad and making his last days comfortable.
