Desta Buba Tunko, born on December 15, 1938, in Ethiopia, passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 86. He was a resident of Aurora, Colorado. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, as well as, a beloved clergyman. Desta will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held at the Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Denver, located at 445 S Lansing St, Aurora, CO 80012, on October 15, 2025, at 9:00 am.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will take place at Olinger Hampden Cemetery, located at 8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231, at 12:00 pm.
Family will return to the church for refreshments following the committal service.
