My childhood is filled with memories of the Siler family living across the street from us Lough's in northeast Denver. Looking back they were some of our best of times.
From watching Doug and Violet and Mom and Dad play cards to doing activities out in our front yards it was a blast.
Doug was the person who introduced me to golf (John) which has been a blessing and a curse(just kidding), I continue to play and love the game today, even more than when I first started playing. I can remember Doug taking me across the street to field east of Park Hill Golf Course and showing me how to swing. He said that because I was short it was easier to find the golf balls I hit being closer to the ground! I think of that when I look for my shots when in the rough, even today.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this time. May you find peace during this time. John and Peggy

Siler Family,
Our hearts break for the loss of Papa Doug. We always called him "Old Papa" since the girls thought he and Papa where spitting images of one another. With the same awesome hair do and sense of humor, we laughed at some of the daily phone conversations those two had as we ate Dinner each night.
We pray that you will find peace in all our your wonderful memories with him. It is so apparant how much he Loved and is Loved.
