Edna Opal Turner

Born November 14, 1923 in Slaton, Texas to Paul and Jessie Fincher, Edna was one of eleven children: Raymond (1909-1909), Clyde (1911-1982), Burl (1913-1981), Emily “Pat” (1916-1980), Ruby (1919-2003), twins Arvilla and J.H. (1920-1920), Clifton “Fish” (1921-2004), Bessie (1922-1922) and James “Bo” (1928-2000).

In 1942 she married Roy Lee Turner. They had three children: John Roy “Frog”, Charlie, and Jeanie.

Edna and Roy lived in Atoka, OK before moving to Colorado, Oregon and then Arkansas. In 1960 they returned to Colorado where they lived the rest of their lives. Roy died in 1999 and “Opal” died on September 21, 2015 in Arvada, CO.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. September 28, 2015 at the Arvada Cemetery in Colorado.
