Elia (Granny) Estella Tenorio Crossed over to Paradise on June 20, 2026 at the age of ninety. Elia was born in Holman, New Mexico on April 16,1936 to Jose & Amalia Romero. Elia was married to her deceased husband Pete Tenorio on July 27, 1957.
She is survived by her children Robert Tenorio (Julie), Diane Tenorio (Jesus), and Coreene Tenorio (Eddie). Elia’s remaining siblings include Jose LeRoy Romero and Florence Arlene Romero. Elia’s deceased Sisters Adella Watkins, Lillian Trujillo, and deceased Brothers were Benjamin Romero, & Gavino Romero.
Elia lived a happy life with family & was a grandmother of six, four of which she raised and gave amazing inspiration and love to carry on for a lifetime. Elia was Blessed with eleven Great Grandchildren, who will truly miss her. Elia was a second Mother to many Nieces and Nephews, and a Godmother to many. All of us were given a special place in her heart. Elia loved having a house full of family and friends to cook for, & picnics at Berkeley Park. Elia’s faith in the heavenly father along with her prayers kept her family safe and always together. We can all say that at some point Elia contributed to our successes in life!
Elia was a caregiver in her occupation for the elderly, for many years. Loving everyone she encountered including the nurses who cared for Elia later in life when she was in need.
Elia was a Glamorous Doll who wanted to live forever young. We will all miss her dearly, and will continue making her proud.
Services will be held July 8, 2026 at the Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church at 10 a.m. located at 7555 Grant Pl, Arvada CO 80002 with burial preceding after at Olinger EastLawn Cemetery, 19600 E Smith Road, Aurora CO 80011. Following with a Reception at American Legion 5421 E. 71st Ave. Commerce City, CO 80022.
Pallbearers will be: Robert Garcia, Markus Garcia, Antonio Garcia, Jayden Garcia, Giovanni Gomez, Dominic Tenorio, Daniel Madrid, and Lorenzo Lopez.
