Ethel was born to Mathew and Vernie Dickmann on December 17, 1937 in Denver Colorado
She married John M. Sodia, Jr. in Akron, Colorado where they met, February 7, 1959.
Ethel received her diploma as a Registered Nurse in 1959. While raising three children she went back to school to earn a Bachelor’s of Science /Nursing degree – Metropolitan State University, 1983 (while raising her children), and earned a Master’s degree in Nursing – Regis University, 1993.
She lost her battle of 11 years with Multiple Myeloma cancer

• Husband of 61 years
• Three children: Charlotte M. (Sodia) Applen, John M. Sodia lll, and Patrick M. Sodia
• Three grandchildren: Brandon Sodia, Makenzie Sodia, and Makayla Sodia
She would often say “Nursing was like living on Cloud 9” because she was a loving and caring person with a passion for helping others. She never saw things as a burden but a gift, and would do for others with a welcome smile.
She had a passion for bowling and was a member of the United States Bowling Congress for many years and league Secretary.
She enjoyed being with people. She embraced life, lived life, and loved life. She was true to her faith with a deep love for her savior, Jesus Christ.
