July 11, 1943 – April 25, 2025
Frankie Lee Clark Sr., 81, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on April 25, 2025. Born on July 11, 1943, in the state of Ohio, Frankie lived a full and vibrant life, rich in experience, love, and laughter.
Frankie was a man of many talents and passions. Over the years, he wore many hats, working as a Theater District Manager, a semi-truck driver, and a manager at both Sam’s Club and Costco. A true storyteller at heart, Frankie even had a hand in the film industry, contributing to the making of a cowboy movie — a testament to his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for cinema.
Frankie’s joy for life could be seen in the simple pleasures he enjoyed most: watching movies, driving to the mountains, playing pool, camping under the stars, and indulging in all kinds of delicious food. He loved spending time on his computer and chatting on the phone with friends and family. His love for cars was unmatched, especially for his cherished 1995 GMC Sierra with its phone and sunroof — second only to his beloved Super Bee, which always held the top spot in his heart.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Frankie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Jean Plunkett Clark, and their five children — four sons and one daughter — along with eight adored grandchildren who were the light of his life. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and wisdom.
Frankie was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Ann McWilliams, and his father, Edward Ted Gassett Sr.
A man who worked hard, loved deeply, and lived fully, Frankie leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and a life well-lived.
A celebration of Frankie’s life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, his family invites friends and loved ones to remember him in their own special way — whether that’s watching a favorite movie, taking a drive to the mountains, or simply sharing a story of Frankie over a good meal.
A graveside service for Frankie will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Eastlawn Cemetery, 19600 E Smith Rd, Aurora, CO 80011.
