Gilbert Biggs II, 55 years of age, passed away on January 11, 2023 in Aurora, Colorado. He is survived by his son, Gilbert “Ryan” Biggs, Sisters, Kelly Goebel (Darrin), Robin Vinzons (Scott Noel), Brother, Logan Biggs and his former wife, Fiona Biggs. He is loved and missed by his nieces, Carly Marsh residing in San Antonio, TX and Delaney Marsh residing in Houston, TX.
Gibby, Gib, Gil, was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on October 20, 1967 to loving parents Gilbert and Matilda Biggs, (now deceased). He was the apple of their eye and a friend to all who knew him.
His parents brought the family to Dwight, Illinois, in 1969 and Gib would call this his home town. He loved playing sports and hanging out with his friends. He excelled in High School Football, even making the states All Star team. After High School graduation he attended Illinois State University to study Computer Science. Shortly after graduating he made the move to Colorado, where sister Kelly resided. He loved Colorado and it was there he met Fiona Trimmer. They created a beautiful baby boy they named Gilbert…..uh Ryan. Ryan was everything Gib could ask for.
Gib was a devoted employee at Lockeed Martin with whom he served over 25 years. He made many close friends there and was very proud of the work he did.
Gib had many interests outside of work. Even though he lived in Colorado for many years, he was a Chicago Bears fan through and through. He and his brother, Logan often joined in the fantasy football craze. He loved to travel all over the world and experience new cultures. He really loved to play poker, so he made a few yearly trips to try his luck in Las Vegas.
He was no stranger to the magical world of Dungeons and Dragons and enjoyed playing with his friends and son, Ryan.
We are all so very saddened by a life cut too short. We love him and will keep his memory alive. He would have been so proud to watch his son graduate from High School this May and to be one of those many parents who wave goodbye to their child on the steps of their college dorm.
Gib, please know we love you and you live on in our hearts forever.
