My condolences to Gil's family and his son. 

I just now learned of his passing from a mutual neighbor.  I live a few doors down from Gil and had missed seeing him lately.

We began to get acquainted during the pandemic when my food and grocery deliveries would show up on his doorstep and his deliveries would show up on my doorstep.  Not to mention the smell of Gil's grilling would drift down to my patio causing hunger pains. 

I also have memories of his son, Ryan  talking about school and cross-country. 

May we find comfort in the fond memories of Gil and the way he blessed our lives. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Gil, I hope you're resting peacefully. Still can't believe you're gone.  We had some fun times when we worked together in PS&C at Lockheed Martin.  You were so funny and never let anything get you down when we had the many issues that always seemed to arise in our nightly batch processing.  My sincerest condolences to the Biggs family.  You will be deeply missed.

The greatest loss we face is the realization that we won’t be in the presence of a loved one while in this life… ever again. 
I haven’t seen Gibby in perhaps 35 years. I miss our families Sunday dinners and everything, but somehow the hope of connection was always something guaranteed in the future, like our family love in suspended animation. But this negation of that hope is like a knife to me. How is it that distance and time can be so final. We are all so broken over loosing Gibby. I am so sorry that today distance is playing a part in our coming together to honor our dear beloved brother and cousin. We stand with you guys now with the determination to hug and cry with you in the near future.

My name is Lisa Whitfield. I was Gill’s and Ryan’s neighbor for 16 years before moving to Cincinnati in November of 2021. They made for great neighbors, like 2 peas in a pod. He was a great DaD.
He kept a key to my house on his refrigerator, I locked myself out so much. 

I would always smell them grilling.  He loved to grill. We had great conversations as well.

A picture of the old guard together again.  This was from my 50th birthday March 2022.  I have known Gil and these guys for over 30 years.  We all will miss him greatly.  He always had a wonderful sense of humor and a heart of gold.  Rest in peace my brother.

I fondly remember all of our talks at work about kids and all of the silly things they do.  Gil always had Ryan stories and I'm sure I told him way too many Connor/Owen stories, but he always listened and was never too busy for a chat.  We also worked, on occasion, and he was such a great co-worker and resource when I had questions.  He will be sorely missed by all of us who inhabited the DDC for so many years.  Please rest in peace Gil.

Gil you will be greatly missed. From the countless breaks to the fence to chat and helping you out at work, you were a great friend to have. Always with a ton of jokes and sarcasm and quick to a big smile, you will be missed my friend. 

I'm going to miss you brother. I'll never forget you nor all the good times.

So very sorry to hear of Gil's passing.  I miss our talks already, from work to sports to, well... a large gambit of topics!  Quick to smile, quick to laugh is how I always picture him.  God speed my friend

Gil will be sorely missed. He was a fun guy and great colleague. I will never forget the "coffee talk" at the coffee machine in DDC and the excellent cake days.

Gil's Lockheed Martin family extends far beyond Colorado.  Condolences and sympathy from Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, and anywhere and everywhere that somebody interacted with Gil.  Gil's good nature and deep voice will be missed every day, and by dozens from his LMCO family.

I can picture Gil bebopping down the hall of the DDC with a smile on his face. I enjoyed his quick wit and biting sense of humor.  He was a fun guy to work with. 

I was so taken with his presentation during cake day of a volunteer trip he took to Africa with a stop in Dubai.  

May God comfort family & friends during this very difficult time. 

I’ll never forget the time when Gil gave me a quote which I wanted to start using.  He said it’s easier to ask forgiveness than permission.  I wanted use it but I am the one who always gets caught.  I still laugh.  I don’t think he ever got caught. 
I am so sorry and my condolences to all. 


We had some great times at work and a few outside of work also.  He will missed by all who knew him.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
