

Hank Shibao passed away at home at the age of 93. He was born in Ft Lupton, CO to Tasoge and Yoshi Shibao. Hank was married for 66 years to his loving wife Irene Shibao and was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to their 3 sons, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Hank served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked as a farmer and mechanic for many years. He retired as a maintenance engineer and bus driver for the Englewood School District.
He was a long-time member of the Denver Buddhist Temple, avid golfer, and lover of sports. Hank is survived by his wife Irene, sons Gerald (Diane), David, and Roger. Grandchildren Samantha (Brad), Brittney (Scott), Rebekah (Jason) and Andrea (Steve). Great Grandchildren Yoshimitsu, Charlotte, Josephine, Eloise, and Calliope. Sister Mabel, Brother Chuck, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by Daughter-in-law Kitty, Grandson Brandon, his Parents, and 3 of his brothers.
A memorial service for Hank will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. Following the memorial service will be a reception from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Embassy Suites, 7525 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231.
