Jim was born on March 2, 1939, in Flint, where he spent his childhood and early years. Throughout his life, he carried with him the values of hard work, humility, kindness, and unwavering faith in God.
Jim built a successful career as a small business owner, operating General Business Services, where he provided consulting, tax, and accounting support to fellow business owners and members of his community. He took pride in helping others navigate challenges and build successful businesses through his steady guidance, integrity, and wisdom.
Outside of work, Jim found his greatest joy spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. He loved sailing and woodworking, and much of his happiest time was spent on Lake Huron at the family’s cottage near Port Huron. Whether on the water or working with his hands, Jim appreciated craftsmanship, simplicity, and the quiet moments shared with those he loved.
Jim was kind, caring, and deeply dedicated to his family. During the last 15 years of his life, he especially loved living in Colorado, where he was able to spend meaningful time with his sons, grandsons, and their families. Those years brought him tremendous happiness, and he treasured the opportunity to be close to the people he loved most.
Above all, Jim was a strong Christian man whose faith guided the way he lived his life. He trusted deeply in God’s promises and faced life — and ultimately his passing — with grace, strength, and peace. His family takes comfort in knowing that Jim knew where his next journey would take him and that he is now resting in the presence of his Savior.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Davy; his two sons, Mark Davy (Rushelle), Adam Davy (Stephanie) and; and his grandsons, Charlie and Will Davy, who brought him tremendous pride and joy.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, steady presence, and devotion to both his faith and his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family appreciates the overwhelming support of family and friends.
