Therese June (Jane) Searcy (nee Odom), of Aurora, CO, died of cancer on January 4, 2014 at the age of 86. Her parents were Marvin and Lucille Odom. A Denver native, Jane graduated from East High School in 1945 and married John Martin Searcy in October 1948. She also lived in Eldorado Springs and Arvada. Jane enjoyed sewing, knitting (especially hats for newborns and cancer patients), traveling, bridge and pinochle. She and John were serious jazz fans. Jane was cheered by a long list of well-loved cats over her life.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Toby) Mitchell (husband Wes) and her children Lynda Lee (Searcy) Parker (husband Jeffry), Janet Anne (Jan) Searcy and Patrick Martin Searcy (wife Linda). Her grandchildren are Shae Therese Gawlak and Chad Edward Warriner (wife Sarah Gold); great-grandchildren are Michael Keiv and Lucas Vincent Gawlak and Lorelai Shae and Adrianna Mae Warriner. Jane’s sister, Diane (Odom) Shirley predeceased her.
