Jeffrey J. Meinerz

With heavy hearts and gratefulness for being able to share a life with him, we announce the loss of Jeffrey J. Meinerz, who passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother. He lived his final moments with his family beside him.

Born on January 19, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Bernard and Elaine Meinerz. Jeff graduated from Whitnall High School. He lettered in gymnastics, track and cross country. He attended Northern Arizona University, then finished his Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.

A true entrepreneur, Jeff spent his career building businesses and pursuing new opportunities. From his family business, Meinerz Creamery in Milwaukee, to Meinerz Dehydrating in Denver, to Magnebie Filter Service and many other ventures, he approached every endeavor with determination and enthusiasm.

Jeff embraced life with an adventurous spirit. He and his wife Lois shared a love of travel, exploring destinations in Europe, Hawaii, the Bahamas, the U.S., and countless more. Whether hiking to waterfalls, skiing, golfing, building a koi pond, soaring in a hot air balloon, and hunting and fishing with family, he found joy in every experience.

A great joy to him was sharing his love of skiing with his daughter on the slopes of Vail, where countless chairlift rides and powder days created memories he always treasured. His passion for skiing led him to Canada for helicopter skiing, a once-in-a-lifetime annual trip.

Above all, Jeff treasured his family. His granddaughters brought him so much joy. Playing games of “Garbage,” trips to “Lolli & Pops,” and time together created memories that will be cherished forever.

Jeff will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, quick wit, generous heart, and the way he made every gathering brighter with his humor. Missed now and forever, his family's comfort comes from knowing his journey continues in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Jeff is survived by his wife, his high school sweetheart of 53 years, Lois; his daughter, Heather, her husband John; granddaughters Taylor and Brynley; his brother J.; sister-in-law Ellen, her husband Peter; brother-in-law Doug (Joy); and nieces and nephews.

A cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
