

Joseph Glenn Jr was born May 25th, 1933, in Montgomery, AL to Joseph Glenn Sr and Anna Lou Glenn. Joseph was the 1st born of four children.
Joseph Glenn Jr graduated from Booker T Washington High School and not long afterward married the girl down the street, his childhood sweetheart, Miss Georgia Mae McQueen. The two were married on Jun 30, 1954, in Montgomery, Alabama.
Joseph Glenn Jr. entered the United States Air Force in 1951 where he earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He attended Basic Training at Lackland AFB, Texas. His assignments included the following: Bergstrom AFB, Texas, Loring AFB, Maine, Homestead AFB, Florida, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, McChord AFB, Washington, Toul-Rosières Air Base, France, Ruislip AF Station, London, Lowry AFB, Colorado, Udorn Air Base, Thailand and back to Lowry AFB.
Chief Master Sergeant Joseph earned a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Award, and three Air Force Commendations.
The most gratifying duties were the Logistic School of Inventory management at Lowry AFB, the assignment to Ruislip AF Station in London, and the Southeast Asia tour of duty.
After Joseph retired from the military, he went into real estate for over 20 years, where he earned numerous accolades.
Joseph was a member of the Church of the Master in Denver, CO, for several years and switched churches several years ago. He has been a member of St Luke Church in Denver, CO for the past several years. Like his wife, Joseph enjoyed the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets. Joseph and his wife Georgia were season ticket holders for the Denver Nuggets. Joseph’s hobbies included: bowling, traveling, boxing, golf, and refereeing baseball, football, and basketball games for high school and college. Joseph enjoyed listening to a wide range of music, from Jazz to Blues and Gospel to Soul. Joseph enjoyed watching good TV westerns such as The Rebel, Gunsmoke, and The Rifleman.
Joseph was preceded in death by: Wife Georgia Glenn March 16, 2023, Parents Joseph Glenn Sr and Anna Lou Glenn, and sister Anna Lue Williams
Joseph is survived by his four sons Anthony (Margaret A.) Oran Glenn, Cordova, TN; Joseph Willie Glenn III, Washington, DC.; Derek (Deseri M.) Alan Glenn, Aurora, CO; and Kenneth (significant other Karen Goodman) Owens Glenn, Centennial, CO; and ten grandkids, DiKimberely (Ernie) Freeman, Memphis, TN, Veronica Johnson, Memphis, TN, Kristine Kayla Vasco (Rafael Vasco), Manahawkin, NJ; James Joseph Glenn, Washington, DC.; Derek Alan Glenn Jr, Aurora, CO. Bruce Simpson, Aurora, Co, Shariay Hammond, (Shaun Hammond) Sickerville, NJ, Dasjon and Danique Simpson both from Newark, NJ and Shariya Simpson, Aurora, Co; brother Jimmy (Jeanetta H) Glenn, Montgomery, AL; sister Joann E Broadnax, Montgomery, AL, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews.
