Strange to think of the future without you here with us dad.  I sure remember past Christmas seasons putting up the tree with you...having to sort all those colored branches and then eating some cookies and fudge together.  Some of my fondest memories of you were when you would come home late at night from work and we would enjoy a yummy snack together and watch either a good old western or scary movie like 'the blob' on KTLA!  You were an excellent provider, cleaner and your award winning chili won us the trophy at my chili cook-off...thanks for helping me win out over everyone else that day!!! I love you dad and will forever be your 'LittleBit'.

I met Ken and Mary few years back at CCNC, I just fell in love with both of them. Mary taught me on how to become a noble woman,rain or shine , Mary came to spend time with Ken with a smile. Ken would often come downstairs to have a couple coffee and wait for Mary's arrival, How sweet is that. I do pray that the lord will give all of you  the strenght to continue the legacy that Ken had left us.
May you find comfort knowing that Ken is in a better place !!
May the Lord continue to pour his blessings upon Mary and the entire family.

I know you touched so many hearts from all the family and friends that said goodbye and it broke my heart to have to see Nana accept the flag. Their hearts are breaking that they no longer can see your face but their sorrow will be short lived after their journey on earth ends and they reunite to spend eternity with you and our Lord Jesus Christ. I look forward to the day of meeting the man the helped form such wonderful daughters and granddaughters. Thank you so much for your personal sacrifice to serve our country and it was an honor to be part of your farewell.

Feeling a bit melancholy at the start of my Christmas break, Dad.. I miss sharing news of various matters with you.. remembering you at Christmastide, and the joy you received from giving to neighbors, and the tender care in which you and Mom put effort into wrapping of all the gifts, the nice aromas emitting from our Kitchen especially when you Baked your enfamous soft sugar cookies and used fresh anise seed.. My all time favorite to this day.. My daughters grew to know that a Man does all and in this way supports his family, they were given this gift from you and their Father John.. I am going to look into taking "the-boys" to an Indian powwow this Summer to help them "see" your native culture via Grandma Etta Fate Woods.. Kanienkehaka  will forever reign in my fondest memories.. xo

Even though we had never meet. Do know that your daughter Deborah and granddaughter Shelley talked highly of you. The funny stories they told were wonderful ones. I appreciate your service you gave to our country. Kenneth you are a true hero. May you rest in peace with The Lord and one day we will meet in heaven. I promise I will be there to give your daughter and granddaughter a hug or a listening ear when they feel down. Much thanks and may you rest in peace.

Rest with Jesus Papa! I have very fond memories, and some funny ones from when I was a child through coming to visit you with my 3 sons. They so enjoyed all our "Secret Garden" trips to play checkers, and eat Tacos or Pizza! I find such peace knowing you DID turn to Jesus...I love you, and miss you.

In fond memory of Mr. Woods, in Palmdale, CA:  I am at peace knowing that he is in My Father's care. ( I am thankful that he wasn't taken Home on our shared birthday.)  My prayers go out to the beautiful and wonderful family that I've been blessed to know.  May strength be given unto  you.

Goodbye Dad. We will see each other again. I so remember the love you expressed to our daughters (your grand daughters) Shelly and Kandi. A memory that I will always have is when Shelly was 18 months old and the USAF sent me on an assignment for two months. When I returned Shelly did not remember me and ran to you calling pa pa. My feelings were so hurt and you had such a giant grin. Rest in peace...you've earned it.

Goodbye to my dear friend and my neighborhood 2nd Dad.  My fond childhood  memories are filled with stories of Mr. Woods. I love you, I thank you and will always keep you in my heart! Love to the Family!
