Laurel Davis-Alpert
August 17, 1955 – February 26, 2026

Laurel was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to Denver, Colorado in 1980. She married Alan Alpert, a historian, in 1982. They had a son, David, who is a PA living in Maryland.
Laurel earned a M.A. in Byzantine Art History from UCLA. She worked for the State of Colorado International Trade Office, traveling to many locations around the world and becoming the Office's Deputy Director.
Upon retirement she pursued various interests such as wildlife photography and ornithology. After a long period of multiple health problems Laurel passed away peacefully, her husband and son at her bedside.
