LORRAINE D. GALE, 88, passed away March 18th. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Edwin and three daughters, Amy, Mary and Peggy. Lorraine is survived by her son, Paul (Jennifer); and grandsons Joseph, Kevin and Patrick.
Lorraine was born May 19, 1931 in North Tonawanda, New York, where she grew up, graduating from North Tonawanda High School. At the age of 14 she met and began dating Edwin Galuszewski, whom she married six years later in 1951. Prior to having children, Lorraine worked as a buyer at a department store.
In 1959 Edwin and Lorraine changed the family name to Gale and moved to Aurora, Colorado as a result of a job opportunity for Edwin. She and Edwin lived in Aurora for the next 52 years, raising their son, Paul, and daughter, Amy. Lorraine dedicated herself to being a mother and housewife and excelled at both. After Edwin retired, he and Lorraine travelled extensively until age and health compelled them to move out of their home. Most recently, Lorraine lived at Someren Glen in Centennial.
Lorraine was a master baker, a skilled seamstress, loved to read, and enjoyed travelling. She was dedicated to her family and will be greatly missed.
