

Maria G. Hernandez Boudreaux, passed away on April 6, 2016. She was born on December 1, 1922 as Maria Guadalupe Hernandez (Reza) in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harley Boudreaux; her parents, Emmanuel Hernandez and Rosa Ruegger Hernandez; two sisters, Mercedes Hernandez Pattison and Frances Hernandez Schneider; step son Harley Boudreaux, and her grandson Gregory Rauch and Nephew George Pattison.
Maria, commonly known to others as "Lupe" is still an amazing women who has only moved on to her forever home in Heaven. On earth Lupe was known as a very talented Seamstress, China Painter Artist and Doll Maker. She was affiliated with Queen of Peace Church. Lupe also was a member of Aurora Lion's Club and for about 20 years took care, cleaned, and prepared all the glasses for the Rocky Mountain Lion's Club Eye Bank. Lupe and her husband Harley would then travel in the United States and in Mexico to distribute glasses to the needy. Lupe loved giving to others. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, family members, extended family members and many others who she helped along the way. In addition to her own Grandchildren she was a Mother and Grandmother to many. Lupe loved people and loved helping people. She did leave us incredible mantle of her legacy. Her love and her legacy that she has left behind will be tough shoes to fill. Remembering her on Earth and knowing in our hearts that "It is Only Forever." We will see her again!
Maria is survived by her children, Linda Rose Peek Stockton, Charlene Elise Peek Gallaty, Sandra Ann Peek Brancio and Maria Guadalupe Peek; step daughter, Fay Boudreaux Martinez; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and sister, Erlinda Hernandez Pattison.
