When I reflect on my relationship with Marilyn, the phrase “more than a mom” truly resonates with me. Even before I joined her family, she welcomed me with open arms, never treating me as merely an addition but as someone to be cherished. Her support was unwavering, whether I faced challenges in my personal life or needed guidance navigating new responsibilities. She always seemed to know the right words to offer comfort and encouragement, making me feel valued and understood.
Her love extended well beyond the role typically expected of a mother-in-law. She celebrated my victories as if they were her own, and when I stumbled, she provided a shoulder to lean on without judgment. Her nurturing spirit fostered a sense of belonging and security, reminding me that family isn’t just about blood—it’s built on trust, kindness, and shared moments. She was present in both big life events and everyday routines, proving that love is shown through consistent, thoughtful actions.
Her presence was a gift, always steady and reliable. Whether it was a reassuring phone call late at night, a homemade meal when I visited her, or her infectious laughter that brightened any day, she was always there. Through her example, I learned the true meaning of compassion and resilience. To describe her as more than a mom is an understatement; she was my confidante, my mentor, and my friend. Her legacy of support and love will continue to shape my life in countless ways. 
Thank you for being a part of my life, and for allowing me to be a part of yours. I will forever miss you, but I will also know that you will always be in my heart and be a part of what keeps it beating every day.

May God bless you with many happy memories to comfort your sorrow.  Rejoice that you will see her again in His timing.  She was indeed a blessing.
