

Marvin James Culwell, Jr. "Skip" 72, of Denver, passed away on January 8, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Marvin and Ellen Culwell. He was a 2nd generation Colorado Native and was very proud of that fact. He was also a proud veteran of the Vietnam war, as he spent 4 years in the United States Army. Skip grew into being a custom clothier and then later in his life chose to be a sales manager with Olinger Mortuaries. He retired from Olinger Hampden Mortuary and Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
Skip was a devoted Colorado man, meaning he liked to fish and camp and be outdoors. He loved the Denver Broncos and was devoted to the Colorado Rockies (Baseball was his favorite), and he golfed on many of the golf courses Colorado has to offer.
Skip is survived by his siblings, William "Bill" Culwell (Bonnie Pilling), and Cindy (Tudor Coleman). He is also survived by his nephew, James Austin Culwell(Emma), niece, Mary Ellen Randell (Matt), great-niece, Emily Randell; as well as many other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and all who share in the labors of his love at Olinger Mortuaries.
A visitation for Skip will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 1-2pm followed by a celebration of Skip's life at 2pm.
