Mary Beth Gaumer passed away on May 19, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.
She was born in Jennings, Kansas, to the late Jim and Garrah Gaumer. Mary Beth was preceded in death by her siblings: Jim Gaumer, Dale Gaumer, and Betty Gaumer.
Mary Beth earned an education in home economics and was a pioneer in recognizing the importance of cooking with whole, nutritious foods. She was also politically active, supporting local Democratic candidates throughout her life.
Mary raised 3 children on her own, and worked as an upholstery seamstress in the Bay Area, and then as a Bookkeeper in Denver for over 3 decades.
Gardening was her favorite hobby, and where she found much joy over the years. Every day she could be seen tending to the plants in front of her home, or the garden in the backyard, giving each flower and plant the love she felt for them.
She was always one to stop and help people, even complete strangers, that’s what you do in Kansas.
She spent the past 45 years living in Aurora, Colorado.
Mary Beth is survived by her children, Lewis Temple III and Laurice Temple, her grandchildren Bianca Temple Abel, Finn Duff, Zachary Duff, and Maia Temple Kerr. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Meg'gan Gaumer.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
