Mikael "Mike" Tewolde passed on September 22, 2026, at the age of 65 in Denver, Colorado. Born on December 16, 1960, in Asmara, Eritrea to Tewolde Obkamikael and Nigisti Mesgune, and being one of 11 siblings, he knew what it meant to be loved by family.
He would go on to meet the love of his life, Aster Tecleberhan, and would be known as the world's best father to their five children.
He was not only a hard worker, working in hospitality for over 20 years and working in room service for the majority of his time, but he was a man of many passions.
Mikael was an avid gardener, cook, photographer, eclectic music lover, and passionate storyteller. It goes without saying that Mike had the talent and joyous spirit to bring light into the lives of those he loved.
Mikael is survived by his loving wife, Aster Tecleberhan; his
Children: Shewit, Millen, Teddrose, Henok, and Naod; Siblings Alganesh, Saba, Asaphow, Goytom, Minya, Selamawit, Nebiat, and Mary. He also leaves behind his best friend, an Australian shepherd, Mochi.
