I worked briefly with Mrs. Nellie @Centurylink. The news of her passing broke my heart...after Mrs. Nellie retired, I would see her occasionally at a church function. She always had a beautiful smile, infectious laughter and good conversation. To the family, please accept my condolences and God bless you!

I have so many wonderful memories! Mom has called me her daughter since Andre and I met in College. I will always remember when she would call and leave a message. She would say "Nancy this is your mom from Colorado" That meant it had been too long in between calls and I better call. I will forever treasure the talks we shared and encouraging cards I received from her.
Andre' Lynn and Brian and Aunt Gigi I love you and may God give you peace and strength during this time and always.
Rest in Eternal peace Mom. I love you!!

Mrs. Martin was pure joy. My last memory of her was of her dancing at my cinco de mayo celebration. I will always miss, live and remember her.

To Gigi , Brian and Andre
My heart aches with the passing of my friend, Ms . Nellie. We enjoyed so many lunches together after I would take her to an appointment. Our conversations were always full of laughter even though she was sometimes in pain . Ms. Nellie was the only person I know who would ask "How are you?" and sound like she was really interested!
I miss my friend but we can rest assured that she is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior . She'll have a whole new group to laugh and talk with.
Be blessed with the memories of your sister and mother.

I so regret not getting by to see Mrs Martin as I confess that the Lord was telling me to go and visit and I didn't get it done. Thank you, Mrs Martin for always sharing your wisdom, your laugh and your open heart with me. You always greeted me with a smile and a big ol' hug and I believe you know how much I loved you and your family. You and my mom (your friend) are laid to rest in the same location and I know are celebrating life in heaven. No more suffering. Andre and Brian, I'm here if you need me any time. (((( HUG ))))). Love always, Jeri #family

Brian and Andre,

I love you both gentlemen and can't express in words how this hurts my heart to write but I would like to share a few thoughts. Have some comfort today in knowing that Aunt Nellie prepared for this day, although it does not make her loss any less painful, she would want you both to be strong today. I think you both know how much Aunt Nellie and Uncle Tom meant to me and our family, there kindness and love is very near and dear to our hearts. I love her so much and these few words don't express what her loss means to me. She may have went home but I will always cherish the greatest of memories I shared with her. Godspeed my brothers I will always be here for you.

What a loss we are experiencing...
Nellie and I shared a friendship since Andre and my daughter Wendi were in day care together, about fifty years ago. We worked together at Mt. Bell and we both retired at the same time. My Nellie friend helped me make tamales for many years at Christmas time and she always requested my chocolate candy and cookies along with the tamales she made. We always shared stories and laughter and prayer.
My heart goes out to Brian and are her loves. My life has an empty place where you have you, my Nellie friend.

To the family and friends of our Beloved Nellie Martin. Bryan, Lynn and family, Andre, Gigi, Sharon and Henry Wharton and family, and all of Nellie’s Sisters and Brothers and extended family. My heart is CRYING!!! When I surprisingly heard of my friend’s passing, I just couldn’t grip that news and it hurts! I worked with Nellie for years

and we became friends and remained friend since. Her infectious Laughter always gave my heart JOY! She always let me know when she was going to travel and when something was going on with her medically. I’m glad we had the opportunity to talk before her last surgery because we had the chance to pray and say we loved
each other. I’m sure her husband Tom met her took her hand and said welcome home. To Bryan, Andre and all the rest of her family and friends, I’m praying God will give you what you need to get through this. What I do know is, Nellie Loved her Heavenly Father with all that was in her! Nellie RIP!!! You all are in my Prayers. Love and God’s Blessings Always. Shirley Ponds
