Norma was a Colorado native, born in Denver, to Virginia Richardson and Egidio Nadalini. Later adopted by James W. Bruce. She married her husband William J. Vette Jr. (Bill) in September 1951. They had four children, Kathy Scott, Laura (Rick) Rice, Debi (Ed) Villano, and Mike Vette. Norma was a very talented watercolor artist. If she wasn’t painting, she was in her garden. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t grow. She loved the Colorado mountains. Turquoise Lake in Leadville was a favorite for a day of fishing or drawing and painting. She shared her birthday with her second daughter. It was usually spent together in the mountains. She was still taking watercolor classes until dementia took that away. She was very active, a friend to many, very honest, and happy. She will be missed.
She is survived by her four children, 7 grandchildren, 15, great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Tanis Bruce. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 55 years, sister Billie D Grommet, and brother Jim Bruce.
