Ralph Gonzales, 98, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. Ralph was born in Trinidad, Colorado, on October 23, 1927, to Mary Gonzales and raised by his grandmother, Josefita Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel, sisters Marianne and Sylvia, brother Rick; stepsons Larry, Steve, and John; grandson Patrick. He is survived by stepson Ron (Jill), daughters (Lynn), (Susan), Terri, Jody, Leslie, Dee Dee, and Sandy; grandchildren Celina, Christine (Chris), Courtney, Rio, Dustin (Jessica), Matthew (Mariana), Kristi, Sean (Lani), Hilarie, John, Andrew (Maddy), Sierra (Brandon), 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ralph had a long career in the legal field and was also a very creative person. He enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, stained glass, playing piano, singing, and many other forms of art.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, with rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. , at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, Colorado. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Mother of God Catholic Church, 475 Logan Street, Denver, Colorado. Reception at 12:30 p.m. following Mass at Platt Park Recreation Center, 1500 South Grant Street, Denver, Colorado.
