Ralph and Francis never stopped treating me with love and kindness long after I was no longer their actual daughter in law. After Fran passed away Ralph continued to show family love toward me and I have always thought of him as a second father. Thank you Ralph. I will see you again someday and tell you face to face.

Biography

Ralph Ray Kelln was born on October 1, 1929 in Oklahoma to David and Mary Kelln. His sister, Ruth Stoughton preceded him in death. His father, David and his many aunts and uncles had fled from the German town of Koln to Russia during the first World War, and then from Russia to the United States. Ralph loved geneology, and loved to share his families history.
He was a talker, he never met anyone who he felt was a stranger. That's what probably led him to Laura Francis Detrixhe. They were married, and spent 58 years together. Ralph and Francis were devoted to one another, and it shows in their children today.
Ralph loved to buy campers, specifically to flip them. The family recalls Francis always asking for him to keep the ones she loved the best, and speaking of that devotion, he would find something that she liked better, flip and sell the old one, and the cycle would restart. He was a very frugal person, and because of that, today his family has a legacy of many different farms in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. He took his passions seriously, from flipping campers, to being an amazing fisherman, to being an okay golfer.
Ralph was family oriented person, and touched a lot of people in his time. He leaves behind his sons, Jerry (Pat), and Dave (Cheryl); grandchildren, Travis, Ben, Jeremy, Christopher, Chris, Laurie, and Sarah; 11 great-grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives.
Ralph Ray Kelln passed away on November 288, 2018 in Littleton, Colorado. He was 89 years old.
Ralph will be truly and deeply missed.
