Richard Paul Vialpando

Richard Paul Vialpando, 40 years old, of Brighton, CO, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026. He was born on Tuesday, December 24, 1985, in Denver, CO to Tamara Kassell and Mark Kenneth Martinez. He graduated from Ridge View High School and achieved his certifications in Culinary Arts and Automotive Maintenance. He went on to have an extensive career in the food industry.

Richard enjoyed watching every Broncos game with family and friends to cheer along with him, while harassing his mom about the Raiders. He loved long naps in a cold a room and creating masterpieces in the kitchen, watching others enjoy his yummy food. He spent late nights building Legos with his daughter. And on occasion, you could catch him playing Texas Hold ‘Em in Blackhawk or around a kitchen table.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Abbigail Rein Justine Vialpando, his mother Tamara Kassell, his sister Samantha Jean McLaughlin, his beloved nieces and nephew Audyanna Ruginia Blank, Aaliyah Shea McLaughlin, Haley Jade McLaughlin, and Junuh Jacob Alexander McLaughlin, and his former wife Ashton Jenelle Lawson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather David Kassell, his uncle David Kassell, his grandfather Jose Vialpando, and his great grandparents Adonis and Ruginia Vialpando.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 11:00am at Olinger Hampden Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his daughter’s GoFundMe at the Fundraiser by Abbigail Vialpando: Support for Richard Vialpando’s Funeral
