Rita L. Jaraczeski

Rita Jaraczeski died peacefully on January 1, 2015 in Denver, CO. The 5th child of Luigi and Maria DiPaola, she was born on April 30, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. Survivors include her loving husband, John; 6 children, Michael (Amy) Jaraczeski, Steve Jaraczeski, David (Sheri) Jaraczeski, Daniel (Cindy) Jaraczeski, Lori (Richard) Robel, and Mari Ann (John) Martin; her 11 grandchildren, Brandon (Rhonda) Jaraczeski, Sarah (Tom) Kent, Julia (Brandon) Apodaca, Lynn (Alex) Emrick, Lisa and Jake Jaraczeski, Michelle and Nicole Hemstad, Natalie, Daniel and Joseph Robel; her 8 great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Addison and Alexa Kent, Taylor and Ava Apodaca, Emma Croxford, Rylie and Jersey Jaraczeski; her sisters, Anne DiPaola of Springfield, PA, Grace Mansi of Havretown, PA, Josephine (William) McIntire of Haveretown, PA and brother, Rocco (Loretta) DiPaola of Springfield, PA and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, 2 sisters, Minnie and Edith and her brother, Dominic.

Rita was raised in south Philadelphia and worked as a file clerk at Raymond Rosen and then as a coil operator for GE. She met the love of her life on a blind date and married John Jaraczeski on November 10, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA. John and Rita moved to the family farm outside of Great Falls, MT in 1952 where they worked together to raise crops and farm animals while taking care off their 6 children. Rita was a fabulous cook and loved getting family together for dinner and engaging in telling stories, debating politics, and playing card games. Rita had a quick wit and engaged everyone she met with her infectious sense of humor. Rita and John spent the last 14 years retired together in Las Vegas, NV.

Funeral arrangements are being made through Olinger Hampden Mortuary and Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, CO 80231. Services will be held at 11am on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Mother Cabrini Shrine, 20189 Cabrini Blvd. Golden, CO 80401. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mother Cabrini Shrine.
