Sometimes it feels like this world's gone crazy
And Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say and then forget
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Rest In Peace Gramps.
My hero, my friend, my confidant, my Grandpa, I’ll always be thankful for the 28 years I enjoyed with you. Traveling from state to state. I’ll never be able to smell the smell of chlorine from a pool without thinking of you. You taught me how to swim, how to drive, you taught me morals. You understood me in a way few people ever will. I’m so thankful for the time we had together & we always made sure to let each other know how much we loved & appreciate one another. I’m so proud of the man you were. You will be genuinely missed. I love you Gramps. Zach
