Robert “Bob” Eugene Wood, 90, of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully at his home in Harvard Square, Sunday, February 12, 2023. Bob was surrounded by his loving wife of 61 years, Monica B. Franklin Wood. He was born to parents Walter and Freeda (Miller) Wood on February 11, 1933 in Beaumont, Texas. He was one of two children. He was a loving son, husband, brother and a friend to many. He left this world a better place.
Bob suffered from Dementia for many years. He is survived by his loving wife, Monica B. Wood; Brother William Walter Wood; four nephews; one niece and numerous friends and co-workers he met throughout his lifetime.
Bob went to the local schools in his home state and lived in a neighborhood with great friends all around. He graduated from Milby High School in Houston, Texas. After attending High School he went to the University of Texas to start his college career. Bob was a very talented man in everything he did. He was part of the Masonic Organization and the Shriner’s Club. He was a devoted service man and served his country in the Navy. He spent four years on the ship USS Essex. His last working position was with Otis Elevator as the warehouse manager.
Bob was known for his enormous heart, love for his family and his listening ear. He was a very gentle, kind and thoughtful man and a wonderful husband.
