Rosemarie Angeline Egan, 88, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who always had a kind word and smile for everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A rosary and visitation will be held at Advantage Runyan Stevenson, 6425 W. Alameda Ave. Lakewood, CO 80226 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18th. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 on Friday, September 19th, at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver.
Rosemarie was born on August 22, 1937 to Anthony and Angeline Szostecki in Chicago, Illinois. She married John (Jack) Egan on May 18, 1957 and had three daughters. Rosemarie dedicated her life to caring for her family, as well as her friends, neighbors, church and anyone else she found in need. She will be remembered with love and gratitude by all whose lives she touched. Rose never missed an opportunity to say a ‘kind’ hello to a passerby (and their leashed pup) on her daily walks and frequently carried snacks in her pockets for her grandpups.
Rose introduced her sons-in-law to Polish Pierogi’s, homemade sauerkraut, and her ‘famous’ green jello. Holidays were filled with delicious delights such as Polish kolaczki, Pizzelles and of course, homemade Rice Krispie treats!
Rosemarie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jack; three daughters, Karen (Norm) of Farmington, New Mexico, Deb (Tom), of Evergreen, Colorado, and Lynn (James), of Boulder, Colorado; five grandchildren, Mitch, Matt (Ariana), Josh (Ellen), Aimee (Ryan), and Emily; and three great-grandchildren, Jack, James and Everly.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Denver Rescue Mission (www.denverrescuemission.org) or Marianist Mission (www.marianist.com/mission).
