i write this a year after Sam died. a little late for the family but more for myself probably, as Sam was in my Sophomore GE 204 class.  I remember her still.  She was bright both in knowledge and visage.  If you look at the experiences that Sam had in her short life it was more than a lot of people do in 70 years packed in to 21. I grieve for the person that the world has lost, the person who dug deeply in to concerns that other cultures had the water and resources they needed to survive, the person who knew exactly the type of treats your dog needed.  She was a wonderful child and person but you know that. Thanks you for allowing me to experience her in my life.  We are the people and experiences that we meet with in our lives and I am a more complete soul because I met Samantha.

My heart breaks over your loss of Samantha. I can not imagine  how devistated you must be. Should I be able to do anything for you or your family please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  We love you Darla, You have been a great friend.
