Sheila Ann Dorchinez

Sheila Dorchinez passed away Thursday, August 18 after a short stay at SkyRidge Hospital battling Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). She was born on October 23, 1946 and was 74 years old. She was a graduate of Bishop Machebeuf High School and worked in Human Resources for many years supporting US West Technology in Denver.

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Amy Gibson (Randy) and Holly Dorchinez; her grandson Jaron Dorchinez; her sister Mary Nachazel and bothers Timothy Thorpe (Sheila) and Patrick Thorpe; 6 nieces and nephews. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Thorpe and Frances Thorpe; two nieces Susan Egloff and Kelly Thorpe Estrada; and her ex-husband Gary Dorchinez.

Sheila enjoyed a good 18-hole golf course, watching Jaron play baseball, and a good party with a nice vodka drink! She had many jobs in her life; a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a playground lady, a Human Resources professional, a coach, a golfer, a traveler, and many more. She touched many lives and she will be greatly missed.

A memorial service for Sheila will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. Reception to follow the service.
