It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephanie Edith Nava-Torres, age 19, who left us on June 27th, 2025, in Commerce City, Colorado. Stephanie was born on May 3rd, 2006, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, to her loving mother, Merarda Torres Cardoza.
Stephanie was a bright and vibrant young woman who radiated warmth and kindness to all who knew her. She had an infectious personality and a heart full of love. Stephanie cherished her role as a sister to her beloved brother, Luis Fernando Nava-Torres, and shared many precious memories with him throughout their lives.
As a recent high school graduate, Stephanie had big dreams for the future. She had just begun her studies at real estate school, eager to pursue a career in the field she was passionate about. Stephanie’s talent for fashion, her skills as a makeup artist, and her love for all things creative were just a few of the many ways she expressed herself. She was also a dedicated fan of Hello Kitty, which brought a little extra joy to her daily life.
A lover of animals, Stephanie had a special bond with her three furry companions: Matilda, a chiweenie, and two wiener dogs, Chapo and Dorada. They were her loyal companions, always by her side through every moment.
Stephanie’s family and friends will remember her for her free-spirited nature, her laugh that could light up a room, and her ability to make anyone feel welcome. Though her time with us was far too short, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Stephanie is survived by her loving father Omar Nava Bell and loving mother Merarda Torres Cardoza, her loving brother Luis Fernando Nava-Torres, along with countless friends, extended family, and her beloved pets.
A celebration of Stephanie's life will be held at Olinger Hampden Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5, 2025 – viewing from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral ceremony at 12:00 PM, committal at 2:00 PM all at Olinger Funeral Home and Cemetery 8600 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Stephanie’s name to a charity of choice that supports youth education or animal welfare.
Stephanie will always be remembered, forever loved, and never forgotten.
