Susan Egloff, a beautiful, compassionate, and talented woman, will receive final blessings during a memorial ceremony on June 18, 2021, at Olinger Hampden Mortuary (8600 E. Hampden Ave). There will be a gathering to celebrate her life immediately following the ceremony (10565 Pearlwood Cir., 80126). We invite friends and family to join us as we remember Susan, who lived a loving and purposeful life from October 16, 1967, to November 19, 2020.
Sue was a loving and caring daughter who brought so much light into our family that we affectionately referred to her as “Susie Sunshine”. She was a bundle of energy, always caring, compassionate, and kind. We are so blessed to have had this amazing daughter in our lives.
As a loving sister to Mike, Laura, and Jennifer, she completed our foursome with sunshine and laughter. We jumped on a trampoline together, marched to Johnny Horton’s greatest hits, and took a few family vacations to Disney Land in the motor home. Regardless of our venture, Sue's dramatic flair made our time together much more fun and memorable. As adults, she continued to add a unique energy to our family through her sense of humor, and love for family stories and good music. Sue unknowingly showed us the importance of giving, trust, and acceptance, and for that, we will be eternally grateful.
Sue was a fun and loving aunt, and the loudest cheerleader at sports games. Aunt Sue always attended birthday celebrations with the brightest gift bags and also shared the craziest laugh -even when jokes weren’t funny. She also cared if you had a messy face, if friends were nice to you, and was always available with a big hug. As the number one aunt to the family dogs, they are sure to seek her after making the trip to Heaven.
Sue was sassy, stylish, and cool in her younger days. If you were a friend of hers, then you were always up for some fun, liked to sit in the front row at concerts, dry-clean your jeans, and sing a bit of Aretha. She had a heart of gold, listened with care, supported her friends during challenging situations, and was always concerned about you. Sue was a true friend.
Susan was Riley’s number one fan, both on and off the field. You'd see Sue pacing the sidelines, cheering for “Riles” with positive and supportive comments regardless of the outcome. She helped build a strong foundation of love, family, sports, and education and worked hard to provide different environments for him to thrive. Sue was a mother who loved Riley unconditionally. Susan was incredibly proud of Riley and his accomplishments in college, his exceptional performance in baseball, and most of all, she was proud of the strong young man he has become.
We will all miss Susan and having her in our lives. She is a beautiful soul.
