We celebrate the beautiful life of our beloved Tayvius Da’Vonte Cedric Drinker. Tayvius brought light, laughter, and joy to everyone who knew him. His kind spirit, warm smile, and loving heart made him a source of comfort and happiness for his family and all whose lives he touched.
Tayvius was deeply loved by his mother, Candyce Monique Drinker, his uncles Willie and Michael Drinker, his aunt Jessica “GaGa” Drinker, his grandmother Angelica “Nene” Robertson and Grandfather Willie Drinker. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings Treyviance, Tai’Jon, and Karma Drinker, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Tayvius was truly our miracle baby. Born with a genetic chromosome 21 disorder, commonly known as Down Syndrome, he faced challenges with incredible strength and resilience. At the age of seven, after an extensive neck surgery that required him to wear a Halo brace for more than six weeks, Tayvius had to re-learn basic mobility skills. This was when his family knew he was a true fighter.
Despite the odds, Tayvius accomplished an amazing journey through primary and high school, never losing sight of the goal of becoming a high school graduate. His determination was a testament to his courage and the unwavering love and support of his family.
Tayvius enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved swimming at the community pool with his siblings and cousins; and at home, he delighted in making videos on his tablet, proudly showing off his muscles —earning him the title of our ultimate MUSCLE man! His favorite food was pizza, a simple joy that always made him smile.
As we close this chapter of Tayvius’s earthly journey, we thank God for blessing us with 18 years of love, laughter, and precious memories. Tay, you gave us joy that will last a lifetime. Until we meet again in heaven, you will remain forever in our hearts.
A graveside service for Tayvius will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 2PM at Olinger Eastlawn Cemetery.
