God called his angel on earth to finally be with Him in heaven. The third of four incredible sisters in her family, Teresa lived a joyful life when she could have easily fallen into darkness. Those who were close to Teresa or only met her once just knew that she was special. She was beautiful, lighting up any room with her incredible smile. For several decades, Teresa impacted the lives of hundreds of students across the Archdiocese. People flocked to her and her amazing sense of humor. For the countless qualities that she had, Teresa will be remembered for her love, courage and faith. She sparred with a rare ailment called Huntington's Disease for the last 10-12 years of her life. The disease seemingly took her mind and body, but Teresa never let it take her joy. In her final years, she was extremely limited to what she could do physically. Her days usually consisted of texts/phone calls to family, reading the daily entry of 'God Calling' and maybe a walk with her husband. And yet, that was enough for Teresa. She loved simplicity, which just so happened to be the title of the 'God Calling' entry for the day she passed. Teresa suffered for so long but you never would have known. She took on every day with a great attitude, inspiring those around her. Toward the end, she needed assistance with just about the most basic of tasks. Still she did it with grace and humility. Teresa's love and selflessness were simply indescribable with anyone she came in contact with. We were shocked when she passed, but it's apparent that God said, "Enough is enough." Teresa was taken from us far too soon. She may have looked like a tired, beat-up fighter, which she was. But make no mistake about it. She delivered the final knockout punch to that disease. And she kicked its ass.
